Maja Design 'Time Flies' Card

Hello, my friends! I hope you're staying warm and cozy as we settle in for the cold months of winter. It's the time of year I love to have a pot of soup or stew simmering on the stove top, while I curl up with a good book and a cup of hot tea.

Today is an exciting one for me, as I'm sharing my first project for Maja Design! I was a little nervous about it, and agonized a bit over what to create. I decided on an 'all occasion' card using Maja Design's stunning Vintage Autumn Basics collection. This color palette is also splendid for Valentine's Day creations!

I began by distressing, layering, and stitching the papers to form a base. The circle was cut using a Spellbinders die, then attached to the base using foam adhesive.

I handcrafted the flowers from the paper collection using a Susan's Garden Peony die. The leaves are also die cut from the paper collection using a Magnolia Rose Leaf die. I gave the florals a dusting of gesso and added clusters of glass pearls for a romantic, feminine feel.

The clock is fussy cut from the paper collection, distressed, and popped up with foam adhesive dots. To the left of the clock I featured the image of the lovely vintage woman, also found in the paper collection.

I finished it off with a twine bow for a touch of rustic elegance.

Thank you so much for stopping by to take a peek at my card! I wish you a day filled with joy and many crafty endeavors!

Hugs,
