A happy hello to my crafty friends! This is the second of three posts for me this week, so I've been a busy girl.
Today I have the pleasure of sharing our newest challenge at The Frilly and Funkie Blog. Cec is our hostess with the theme of Sing, Sing, Sing! Our mission is to create a shabby chic or vintage project with music as the central theme. You can add musical instruments, music paper, sentiments about music or even vintage images with a music theme.
For complete challenge details and exciting prize information just click on the blog link above. The challenges are really, really fun! If you've never played along with us, now is the time to jump right in!
I grew up playing piano and clarinet, and participating in choir. I have so many happy memories in music that I was thrilled to see it as our theme. We had sheet music floating around everywhere in our home, so that's what I chose for the focal point of my card. I purchased the lovely music images from Janet's 'bydigitialpaper' on Etsy. They seemed like they were made to go with Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics paper collection!
If you look closely you'll find bits and pieces of sheet music in all the images and tags. A rustic twine bow is tucked away in the corner. I always add a bow. If you ever see anything on my blog without a bow, it was probably put there by an imposter:-))
The rose blooms are handcrafted from the paper collection using two Tim Holtz Tattered Florals dies.
Finally, some liquid pearls for a romantic touch, and a simple stamped sentiment.
Thank you so much for sharing your time with me! Your visit and sweet comments are a ray of sunshine that brightens my day. I wish you all things good and wonderful, with a big scoop of crafty happiness!
Hugs,
Oh so beautiful Nancy! I love the addition of the musical tag and those wonderful flowers. Jenny x
