Holiday Hues Challenge!

Hello and Happy New Year! I hope you're enjoying the many festivities of the season.

We're ringing in the New Year with a brand new challenge over at the Frilly and Funkie Challenge Blog. Our theme is Holiday Hues with guidelines as follows: create a vintage or shabby chic project using your favorite holiday color palette, whatever holiday you choose

For challenge details and exciting prize information just click on the blog link above. Our challenges are all about youand we can't wait to see what you're creating! If you've never played along before don't be shy about jumping in and sharing your art.

I'm down to the wire with my Christmas cards. I just got this one in the mail a couple of days ago with hopes of it arriving by New Year. My last banner card of the season. I really enjoyed making these this year. My color palette is wintery blues and neutrals.

I layered, distressed, and stitched  papers from Maja Design's Vintage Frost Basics collection. The banner elements are part of the paper collection, with the exception of the die cut pine trees and the burlap, which came from Linda's shop. I added a dusting of Gesso for a frosty feel.

Thank you so much for visiting me! I hope you'll join us over at the Frilly and Funkie with your own gorgeous creations. Wishing many blessings throughout the New Year to my wonderful crafty family!

Hugs,

A Happy Announcement!

Hello to my wonderful, crafty family! I have some happy news to share with you. I have the honor of being part of the Maja Design 2016 Creative Team!! I've been keeping this little secret for a few weeks, and it was NOT an easy one to keep to myself!

I've been completely devoted to Maja Design's beautiful paper collections since the day I first discovered them. I am beyond thrilled to be working alongside this amazing group of artists, who have been such an inspiration to me! I still feel like I need to pinch myself to be sure I'm not dreaming!

Thank you for the support and inspiration you all share with me. It is a true blessing to be on this creative journey with people who have come to mean so much to me. I wish you a happy, happy Christmas!

Frilly and Funkie 'Tis the Season'

Hello! I wish you a warm welcome on this lovely day. I'm sure many of you are in the midst of your holiday preparations.

We're kicking off a new challenge at The Frilly and Funkie Blog. I'm excited to be hosting this time around! With Christmas just a few weeks away I've chosen the theme of: 'Tis the Season! I'm keeping it super simple. Create any type of vintage or shabby chic holiday themed project- whatever winter holiday you celebrate!

For challenge details and exciting prize information just click on the blog link above. We'd love for you to join in, so head to your craft room and show us what you're creating for the holidays!

Maja Design has the prettiest brown tone papers in their 'It's Christmas Time' collection. I was looking at them when I started thinking of a favorite holiday treat - chocolate! Yes, my card is totally inspired by chocolate!

I created a shabby banner of milk chocolate snowflakes, frothy lace, winter greenery, and berries as the focal point for my card.

The snowflakes are die cut from chipboard with a Tim Holtz Thinlets set, then colored with distress stains. I added a touch of frost with gesso.

The sentiment is stamped from the Tim Holtz Simple Sayings set.

Thank you for stopping in and having a look at my project. May you and your families have the most wonderful of holidays! Merry Christmas!!

Hugs,
