"I enter a nightmare from which I wake repeatedly only to find a greater terror awaiting me." -Katniss Everdeen....Hi again and thanks for stopping in! Have you read any good books lately? I just finished The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. I can't believe I didn't come across this book sooner. I purchased it as a Christmas gift for my son but after looking over the first page it was obvious he wasn't getting it back until I finished. And once I started reading I couldn't put it down!
The novel transports the reader to the Empire of Panem (the United States in the not-so-distant future) and is the first book in a trilogy detailing the conflicts of Katniss Everdeen, a 16 year old girl residing in District 12. Katniss must overcome impossible odds to survive when she is forced to compete in a 'kill or be killed' reality tv competition known as the Hunger Games. If you haven't picked up this brilliant and fast paced novel you have a real treat in store! So get the book, find a cozy chair, and in the words of Claudius Templesmith, "Ladies and gentlemen, let the seventy fourth Hunger Games begin!"
Sounds like a great read. I'm reading a tatty old copy of "Little Women" I found at a charity shop for 10p. It's one of those titles you always mean to read but never get around to it. It's a lovely book too, so much more in depth than the movie, but then the books usually are!

That's the truth Anna, the books are always better than the movies. I LOVE Little Women!! I have fond memories of reading it as a teenager. Now I'm inspired to re-read it!
