I have the honor of hosting our new challenge at the Frilly and Funkie Blog. Our theme for the next two weeks is 'Layer it Up'. Let's add dimension this time around. Simply create any type of vintage or shabby chic project featuring multiple layers.
At the end of the challenge the team will choose their top four picks. Our first place winner will be invited to join us in a Guest DT spot at the Frilly and Funkie Blog. Three additional talented participants will receive badges to display on their blogs. Everyone who enters and adheres to the challenge guidelines will be entered into a drawing to win a $25 spending spree at The Funkie Junkie Boutique! For entry specifics just click on the blog link above.
With February coming to a close I'm turning my focus to Easter and some upcoming events. My project this week is a card for a sweet little girl who will receive her First Communion this spring.
As always, the base papers are distressed, layered, and stitched. The roses are handcrafted using Tim Holtz Tattered Florals dies and a Spellbinders Large Rose die.
The vintage image is fussy cut from a collage sheet. I apologize for not knowing the creator of the image. It's something that's been in my stash for a long time and I can't remember where I got it.
The lacy layers tucked into the roses are die cut with the Spellbinders Triple Tear die.
Hugs,
You always work magic with these Maja Design papers and those flowers are always a delight. I love how you've layered them with the Triple Tear die cuts too. Jenny x
