Vintage Inspired Ornaments

Welcome friends! I hope you're having a great day! Autumn has well and truly arrived in Charleston with cooling temperatures and falling leaves. We've been busy preparing our home for the Thanksgiving holiday. The thought of having our family together and spending time with my loved ones fills me with incredible joy. Signs of Christmas are everywhere as well, from the stores to the music on the radio. What a wonderful time of year!

I'm excited to announce our newest challenge, 'A Gift from the Heart' at the Frilly and Funkie Blog. Cec is our host and she asks us to get a jump start on our Christmas planning by making something we can give as a gift. For all challenge specifics just click on the link above and you'll be ready to join in the fun!

My friend and I have a tradition of exchanging something handmade for our Christmas trees each year. I was recently inspired by some beautiful bauble cards I saw on Pinterest. They were designed by Klaudia from kszp.blogspot.com. I love her cards and set out to put my own spin on them to create ornaments for my friend.

used Maja Design papers that I stitched, distressed, then mounted on grunge board for sturdiness. Each bauble has been embellished with handmade Poinsettias, seasonal greenery, berries, and pine cones.

I'm hoping you'll find a little time to play along in our challenge!

Thank you for stopping by and sharing your time with me. Your kindness and friendship warm my heart. For those of you in the U.S. may you have a wonderful Thanksgiving celebration! If you're traveling I pray for your safe journey. Wherever you are and whatever your plans, I hope you're surrounded by the people you love.

Hugs

other products used: Sue Wilson Classic Poinsettia die, Hot Off the Press Christmas Word stamp set, mini pine cones and berries from my stash.
