Hi! I haven't posted in several days, mainly because I'm the only one who visits my blog, and I already know what's going on with me....BUT....just in case I DO get a visitor I don't want you to think my blog is a ghost town, so I'm going to keep plugging away at this. Above is a page from a mini journal/album I made for a very dear friend. I just love the image of the little boy! He is just too cute!! The mini had kind of a travel theme to it, well, mostly travel. It was a little eclectic, which happens to me sometimes despite my best intentions to stick with a theme. If you're reading this feel free to leave a comment. I'm begging and pleading with you to leave a comment:-)) I hope you're having a great day!!

More from the World of Wonderland!
Hello and Happy Saturday! I love Saturday--it's my favorite day of the week!! I love Friday night too because it's the night before Saturday. It seems like anything you do on a Friday or Saturday is more fun than if you do it any other day of the week. Well, it's another super hot and humid day here in Charleston. Since it's way too hot to be outside I'll be spending the afternoon happily creating in my craft room:-) I have another project to share today! This is another Alice library pocket and tag set I listed on ebay a while back. I used Graphic 45 papers (love them so much!), handmade embellishments, distressing, stamping, and collaging. I filled it with tags and tons of Wonderland ephemera. I had so much fun with it! I hope everyone's having a great day and doing whatever you love best!

Vintage Tag 'Believe'
I wanted to share a project with you today! This is another vintage tag that I made as a little gift for a dear friend. For the background I embossed plain cardstock with a cuttlebug embossing folder, then glimmer misted in cranberry and olive vine. I ran a Tim Holtz distressing tool over the edges then inked with vintage photo and walnut stain. Next I went lightly over the top of the embossing with Rub-n-Buff in antique gold. The image is from an antique postcard that I scanned and printed, cut out, mounted on chipboard, and inked the edges. I added some prima flowers and pearls, and some lace trim that I distressed and glimmer misted. I stamped and distressed the word 'believe' and attached it across the flower with glossy accents. I mounted the whole tag onto chipboard to make it more sturdy, then topped it all off with some coordinating fibers and a cross charm. I hope everyone reading this is having a wonderful afternoon! Thanks bunches for stopping by!!
Fun in the Sun
Hello again! It's soooo hot this summer and nothing feels better than the beach or the pool. This is my wild bunch on the rare occaision when they are all together in one place--my daughters Tiffany and Miranda, my son Patrick, and my grandgirl Savannah.
The top photo is my dog Nabby testing out the water with Tiffany and my grandson Nathan. Nabby LOVES the pool and takes several swims a day!

Alice in Wonderland Tag
Hi! I hope anyone who happens by is having a great day! I volunteer as a docent at an historic home here in Charleston so that is what I've been up to today. It's been pretty hot and humid with heat indexes of 105 or above, but that's fairly typical for August in Charleston. I see Jeanne signed up to follow my blog--you totally made my day! So my blog isn't sad and lonely anymore thanks to Jeanne! The photo above is a close up of one of the tags from the Alice in Wonderland pocket. The images are from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and the papers are all Graphic 45 (I absolutely love all their papers.) I did some rubber stamping here too, and of course inking with distress inks. I used the paper tearing technique because I love the distressed and worn appearance it gives, and I was also going for a look of old peeling layers of wallpaper for this one. I've been exploring everyone's blogs and have found some super talented artists! I wish I could figure out how to post a list/links of blogs I'm following so I could share them with everyone. I'll get it all figured out somehow:-) Well, I'm off to make a little dinner now--I have no idea what I'm going to make tonight and I have a very hungry teenage son--Yikes!!

Alice Pocket and Tags 'Curiouser and Curiouser'
Hi again! I thought I'd share a photo of another 'Alice' project I listed on ebay not long ago. I used Graphic 45 papers and handmade embellishments for this one and I filled it with lots of themed tags. Alice in Wonderland is one of my favorite books from childhood so I have tons of fun with these. I totally love the new Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland papers. I just got some of the 8x8 paper packs and I can't wait to play with them!! I also can't wait for someone to start visiting my blog. It'll be so much fun to hear from somebody else who loves papercrafting and to hear about your projects!! So.....if you're out there.....Leave a comment or something so I know you're there. I so don't want to have a sad and lonely blog:-)
Sunday, August 1, 2010
Hi and happy Sunday! Today I've spent the last couple of hours cleaning up my craft room/office. Maybe it's not the most fun way to spend Sunday afternoon but it was looking a lot like a hurricane hit, so I had to do it. I think I can safely say it's been down-graded to tropical storm status:-) I really need better storage solutions because plastic storage boxes seem to be taking over my space. I don't have a really good way to store my cling mounted rubber stamps either. I'm looking on line at some options but haven't made up y mind yet. I do have a mental plan for my 'dream' craft room, but I don't think I'll be getting it anytime soon-LOL! I'm not certain that anyone is reading my blog, but if you are I hope you're having a great day! Please leave a comment or sign up to follow my blog if you'd like to. I have some great projects and tutorials I'll be posting soon!
