Hello! I hope you're enjoying beautiful autumn weather! My son was home for fall break the last few days!! It was a blessed time and I'm already counting the days until I see him again at Thanksgiving. I miss my boy!
Today we're opening a brand new challenge at the
Frilly and Funkie Blog with Jenny as our host. She asks us to celebrate all things Wendy Vecchi with any type of 'Wendy' style project. You can find all the challenge details by clicking on the link above.
I had to go way outside my comfort zone for this challenge. Wendy's art is delightfully bright and whimsical with a primitive influence whereas mine is more of a vintage, romantic style using softer, muted tones. When I craft I always create from what I feel and see in my own heart and mind. I find it nearly impossible to replicate someone else's style. I spent a great deal of time reviewing Wendy's blog. I can only hope I've done it just a tiny bit of justice, but my apologies to Wendy if I haven't.
I used primarily Wendy Vecchi and Tim Holtz products to create this autumn tag. There's a product list at the end of my post if you have questions regarding specific items.
I added my own touch by framing the sentiment with a spray of autumn flowers, leaves, and berries. I threw in the coiled floral wire sprigs for a touch of whimsy.
Thank you so much for coming by to take a peek at my project. I hope you'll be able to join in our challenge! May your day be filled with love, happiness, and crafty fun!
Hugs,
Other products used: flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Spellbinders Scalloped Ovals die, floral wire, leaves and berries from my autumn stash box.
