Hello, beautiful friends! It's such a privilege to be here with you today. I hope you're having a great week so far. I'm spending quite a bit of time in my craft room this week, so I'm happy as can be.
Today marks the start of a new challenge at the Frilly and Funkie Blog! The lovely Suzz is our hostess with the following theme: Winter time brings such a beautiful mix of colors. This challenge requires you use any or all of the following colors: blue, white, silver, gray in your vintage or shabby chic project.
I'm totally in to blue at the moment. I'm going straight for the blues, whites, and grays for this challenge. Maja Design's Vintage Autumn Basics Collection is doing a fabulous job of feeding my addiction for these colors.
I've been playing with flowers again. These blooms are a variation on the tutorial from Saturday. Just because we're working with a frozen winter palette doesn't mean there shouldn't be flowers, right? Charleston gardens have something in bloom at any given time of the year. We're in the upper 70's this week, so in my opinion there is no reason flowers can't exist alongside the snowflakes and icy branches.
My card is accented with distressed edges, hand stitching, and a twine bow.
Thank you so much for sharing your time with me! I hope you're planning to participate in the challenge. I'm beyond excited to see what you create with your gorgeous winter color palettes! I send wishes for a day overflowing with joy and crafty inspiration!
Beautiful card, your flowers look fantastic :)

ReplyDeleteThis is a beauty. Love the ice branch - reminds me of what the trees looked like yesterday with the freezing rain. I would prefer your weather and seeing flowers (even those on your cards) this time of year would make my day.
