Inner Strength Card

Welcome! I hope this finds you well and reveling in the carefree, sunshine drenched days of summer! We've had an extended heat wave in Charleston, so I've been hiding out in the air conditioning as much as possible. My husband and I just celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary. Its hard to believe how quickly time flew by. I feel truly blessed we found each other all those years ago.

We have a new challenge starting at the Frilly and Funkie Blog and everyone is invited to play along! Jenny is our hostess and she'd like us to to 'get sentimental' for this challenge. There are so many fabulous quotes and sayings available for use on our projects. Whether you stamp it, print it, write it or die cut it, make your sentiment the main focus of attention on your vintage or shabby chic entries. For full challenge details simply click on the link above.

I built my card around a stamped sentiment that has deep meaning to me at this time in my life. I layered and distressed papers from Maja Design's Vintage Summer Basics collection, placing the sentiment front and center.

The embellishments are simple. Just a few roses that I purchased on Ebay, some die cut rose leaves, pearls,  and a twine bow. I couldn't resist adding a few dew drops to the rose leaves.

Thank you for stopping by! I'm incredibly grateful to be back and able to share crafty moments with you once again. I wish you a day filled with peace and happiness!

Hugs,

  12. This is so incredibly soft and lovely... Usually neutral tones lead to such a muted design but there is something so bold and powerful about this. Gorgeous sentiment!
