'Garden of Life' Card

Happy New Year! I hope you've enjoyed a lovely holiday season and that you're ringing in 2015 surrounded by those you love. We're celebrating at the Frilly and Funkie Blog with a brand new challenge. Nicole is our hostess and her theme is 'Anything Goes,' with the only guideline being your project be either vintage or shabby themed.

I created this 'Garden of Life' card for my sweet daughter who graduated from nursing school a couple of weeks ago. She has followed in the footsteps of my mother and me (we're a family of nurses). She's worked diligently these last few years and can now put those coveted initials, R.N., behind her name!

I layered, distressed, and stitched my favorite Maja papers, hand painted the flowers, then added a few dew drops and a twine bow to finish off my little rose garden.

Thank you so much for joining me today. My thoughts are with all of you as you celebrate with your family and friends. May this year bring you blessings and untold joys!

Hugs,

Other products used: Chipboard elements and flowers from my stash, Magnolia Rose Leaf die.

  6. I know I always use this adjective about your work, but exquisite is the only way to describe it. And you've done it again. LOVE the color palette and your flowers are sensational, as always. Congratulations to your daughter on earning her RN! Wishing you all the best in 2015!

    Hugs,
    Linda
